Death of Wilson Pritchard
The Clarksburg Telegram., October 25, 1901
Wilson Pritchard, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Pritchard, born June 19, 1853, died October 17, 1901, in the 49th year of his age, and was buried on October 18th at the I. O. O. F. Cemetery.
Mr. Pritchard grew up in Clarksburg, was educated at our city Public school ; and at Dennison’s University. About 1873 or 1874 he became a Christian and united with the Baptist church under the ministry of Rev. Dennis McLaughlin.
In 1881 his mind became seriously affected and in 1892 he was placed in the hospital for the insane at Weston, and by the physician was pronounced incurable.
On last Thursday death came as a happy release. Only a few days before the end came his mother and sister went to see him, as members of the family had so often during these years, although he did not recognize them.
Mr. and Mrs. Pritchard and the brothers and sisters have the heartfelt sympathies of the entire community.
