CHARLES F. MILES
Charles F. Miles, 51, died at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at his home on the Mount Clare road near Owens stop of high blood pressure.
Death was sudden, although Mr. Miles had been in poor health for some time. He arose Sunday morning and seemed to be in usual health until about 6 o’clock when he suddenly became seriously ill.
He was born November 14, 1880, in Upshur county, near Adrian, a son of Benjamin F. Miles and Margaret Hall Mines, both of whom preceded him in death.
For several years he was employed at the Lange and Crist Box Company’s factory here. He was a member of Adelphia Lodge No. 8, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the encampment of Adelphia Lodge, and also the Modern Woodmen of America. He was a member of the Stewart Chapel Methodist Episcopal church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Stella Combs Miles; four sons, Lester Hall Miles, Leo Denzel Miles, Clifford Burton Miles and Charles Arthur Miles, all at home; three brothers, Allen Miles, of Eaton; Clinton Miles, of Huntington, and Ira Miles, of Cumberland, Md.; and three sisters, Mrs. Howard L Robinson, Philippi; Mrs. Hector Scory, Clarksburg; and a sister, Rosa, who lives in California.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the home, with the Rev. C. J. Allender, pastor of the East Clarksburg Methodist Episcopal church. Interment will be made in the Odd Fellows’ cemetery. Members of the Odd Fellows’ lodge will have charge of the services at the grave.

Funeral services will be held at the residence, on the Mt. Clare road near Owens stop, for Charles F. Miles, 51, who died at 10 o’clock Sunday morning at his home of high blood pressure.
The Rev. C. J. Allender, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, of Hundred, assisted by the Rev. W. H. Gilmore, pastor of the East Clarksburg Methodist Episcopal church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Odd Fellows’ cemetery.
Ritualistic rites will be held at the grave by the local lodge of Odd Fellows, of which Mr. Miles was a member. Although he had been in ill health for several months, death came unexpected.
