Hall of Adelphi Lodge No. 8, I.O.O.F., Clarksburg, W. Va., July 14, 1896.
We your committee appointed to draft resolutions of respect and condolence to the memory of our worthy Past Grand, Enoch Tinsman, who departed this life on Wednesday, July 8, 1896, would offer the following :
WHEREAS, It has pleased the Creator of the universe in his infinite wisdom to place His seal of immortality on our well beloved Brother Enoch Tinsman. Therefore be it Resolved, That in the death of Bro, Tinsman our Lodge has lost a faithful and devoted member, society a respected and honored citizen, his children a kind and loving father.
Resolved, That we deeply deplore the sad call which so suddenly and unexpectedly deprived us of a Brother and that as a token of our profound esteem for the worthy dead, we drape our Charter in mourning for the period of thirty days.
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be presented to the children of our deceased Brother and a copy be sent to each of the county papers for publication.
