GRANVILLE GEORGE DAVISSON, Esq., died of consumption, at his late residence in this place, on the evening of Wednesday last.

He was for many years Clerk of Our Circuit Court, and enjoyed the reputation of being one of the best officers in the State.

Granville George Davisson leaves a large family of children, and numerous circle of friends to lament his decease. His funeral will take place, to-day, Friday, at 1 o’clock, under the direction of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of which society was he was a zealous member.

Members of the Order and citizens generally are invited to attend.
