Services Held Over Remains of Guy Smith Who Was Burned to Death.
Funeral services over the remains of Guy Smith, the four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Smith, of Bridge street, who was burned to death late Tuesday afternoon in a stable in the rear of Smith and Stewart’s store on Bridge street were held at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Warne-Lynch mortuary chapel.
The Rev. H. R. Hess conducted the services.
The burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
The little fellow was playing with matches in the stable and in some manner started a fire.
While trying to escape from the flames he climbed into the manger and was unable to get out.
His charred remains were found there after the fire department got the fire under control.
