The Fairmont West Virginian., November 24, 1905, page 5
The funeral of John Baltzley, who died of old age on Monday, took place from his late residence in the Stealey addition at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
Interment was made at the I. O. O. F. cemetery.–Clarksburg Telegram.
Mr. Baltzley was known by many of our citizens, as he long resided here. It was before the war of the 60’s that he did so, however.
He will be remembered as a molder in the foundry on the east side. He served in the war referred to, having been a member of Maulsby’s Battery.
He was a good man and is said to have been a good soldier.
