Funeral plans are incomplete pending the arrival of a daughter from Appolo, Pa., for John Dotson, 66, of the Pinnickinnick mining settlement, who was found dead yesterday morning at the home of Mrs. Sarah Wise, No. 7 Levy court.
Dotson was intoxicated Christmas night and fearing that he would be arrested before he reached home had asked for the privilege of staying all night at the Wise home.
He sat down in a rocking chair in the living room where he was found. Dr. Leroy C. Goff, county coroner, after viewing the body said he died of natural causes. Dotson was widely known and for several years had been employed by prominent persons about the city as janitor and for house work.
He is survived by one daughter. Mrs. W. G. Lawrence, of Appolo, Pa., and a stepson, Luther Dotson, of Fairmont.

Funeral arrangements have not been made for John Dotson, 66, of the Pinnickinnick suburb, who died Saturday at the home of Mrs. Sarah Wise, 7 Levy court, of acute intoxication as ascertained by the coroner, Dr. Leroy C. Goff. The body remains at the Romine mortuary. The undertaker is waiting for the arrival of Dotson’s daughter, Mrs. W. G. Lawrence, of Apollo, Pa.

Funeral plans are still incomplete for John Dotson, 66, colored, of the Pinnickinnick settlement, who died Saturday night of acute intoxication. A daughter, Mrs. W. G. Lawrence, of Appolo, Pa., is expected to arrive this morning to complete the funeral arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon in the Romine funeral parlors for John Dodson, 66, colored miner, who died Christmas night at the home of Mrs. Sarah Wise, 7 Levy court, off Monticello avenue, of alcoholism. Interment will be made in the Memorial Park cemetery at Grasselli.
A native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Dodson came to this state a number of years ago and had been in the employ of the Consolidation Coal Company the last fifteen years. He and others Christmas morning began celebrating the day in the Pinnickinnick section where he lived.
In the afternoon he realized that he was in a serious condition, and going to the home of Mrs. Wise he was granted permission to use a room there. He sat down in a rocking chair and was found dead the next morning in a sitting posture.
Surviving relatives include a stepson, Luther W. Dodson, of Fairmont; and a daughter, Mrs. Willie G. Lawrence, of Apollo, Pa. He was a member of the Odd Fellows fraternity.
