July 4th Independence Day

I took a few moments to stop by and pay my respects at the graves of these Revolutionary War Soldiers buried at the Daniel Davisson DAR Cemetery and The Jackson Cemetery.

While Independence Day is commonly celebrated with fireworks, parades, concerts, barbecues, family gatherings, fairs, picnics, and political speeches we should do our best to take a few minutes and remember the history and events surrounding the Declaration of Independence and those who fought during those revolutionary times.

If any one happens to have a few moments to spare during their travels around Clarksburg take a few moments to stop by the Daniel Davisson DAR Cemetery in Downtown the final resting place of Maj Daniel Davisson, Maj Thomas P Moore, and Peter D’Evecmon.
