LUTHER JOHNSTON DIES OF CANCER
Well Known Citizen of Point Comfort Succumbs to Lingering Illness–Funeral Friday

At his home in Point Comfort Luther Johnston died Wednesday evening after a lingering illness with cancer, aged 67 years.
Surviving Mr. Johnston are his wife and seven children, the latter being James, Luther, John, Lloyd and Florence, and two daughters Mrs. Mary Daugherty and Mrs. Sadonia Hardy.
He leaves also one brother and four sisters.
Mr. Johnston was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, and was class leader for a number of years. Many friends are made sad by his death and they extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.Â
The funeral will take place Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery.
