MRS. M’CLELLAN DIES IN INDIANA

Word was received here Tuesday evening of the death of Mrs. Mary Carlisle McClelland, which occurred at the home of her sister. Mrs. Letia Strader, at Madison, Ind. Mrs. McClellan was the daughter of Hon. John S. Carlisle, and born and raised in this city. She was married twice and was a widow at the time of her death.

Her first husband was named Walters, and he was the editor of the Clarksburg Conservative, a weekly newspaper.

One brother, Allen Douglas Carlisle, a Presbyterian minister, and one sister, Mrs. Letia Strader, of Madison, Ind., survive her. One other brother, William Dorsey Carlisle, died about a month ago in Washington Territory.

The funeral occurred at Madison Wednesday afternoon. The remains were placed in a vault temporarily, and at a later date will be brought to this city for interment.

The remains of Mrs. Mary Carlisle McClelland, who died recently at the home of her sister, Mrs. Letia Strader, in Madison, Ind., will arrive in this city Friday evening. From the train they will be taken to the I. O. O. F. cemetery and interred in the family lot.
