The remains of Mrs. C. A. Brooks were laid to rest at the Odd Fellows' Cemetery.

She Passes Away At Her Home on West Pike Street After An Illness–Funeral Tuesday

Mrs. C. A. Brooks, of West Pike street, died in a local hospital Monday morning after an illness. She recently underwent a serious operation which was performed in the hopes of saving her life.

Mrs. Brooks was 35 years old and is survived by her husband and three children of her immediate family, Mr. Brooks is a mine inspector for the Clarksburg Fuel Company and a brother of General Superintendent John O. Brooks. The children are Albert, Carl, and Viola. Mrs. Brooks was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dory, of Moundsville, who with three sisters and two brothers also survive her. She came to Clarksburg with her husband two years ago from Bellaire, OH., where they formerly resided.

The funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock with services at the late home and burial in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
