Excerpt–
One of the sad events of the week was the death of Mr. P. C. Peterson at the residence of Mr. Frank Stuart where he boarded when in the city.
Mr. Peterson came originally from Denmark and had been in the employ of Messrs. Ruhl, Koblegard & Co. for about a year and was highly esteemed by all his acquaintances.

On September first he was to have been married to a Miss Armstrong, of Birch River, and had all his arrangements perfected for the happy event.
His death was caused by fever and was very unexpected.
His promised bride came here to see him Sunday but ere she arrived his spirit had winged its flight to the God who ordains and executes as it pleaseth Him.
The clothing that he was to have worn on his wedding day did service on the sad occasion when he was laid to rest in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
