Mrs. Susan M. Stealey, Wife of Irvine Stealey, Succumbs to Heart Disease.

Mrs. Susan M. Stealey, wife of Irvine Stealey is dead at her home west of the city after a prolonged illness of heart disease. She passed away Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock.

A few weeks ago Mr. and Mrs. Stealey returned from a trip in the South taken in the hope that the change of climate would benefit her health. It did not appear to do so, however, and it was for that reason that they returned home.

Mrs. Stealey was a lifelong resident of this community. Of her immediate family, she is survived by only her husband, but there are numerous other relatives of the family in this section.

Funeral services will be held at the house Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock led by the Rev. J. E. Bird, pastor of Goff Methodist Episcopal Church.

Burial will follow in Odd Fellows’ cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Susan M. Stealey, wife of Irvine Stealey, of Stealey Hill who died Wednesday evening of heart disease, was held Friday afternoon, attended by a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives. Services were conducted at the house by the Rev. J. E. Bird, pastor of Goff Methodist Episcopal church. The burial was in Odd Fellows’ cemetery. Besides her husband, Mrs. Stealey is survived by one brother, William H. Waters, whose home is in Preston county.
