CLARKSBURG — Thomas D. Lantz, 86, of Hart Street, Clarksburg, passed away suddenly on May 3, 2007, in the United Hospital Center.
Mr. Lantz was a retired electrical engineer with Fourco Glass with 30 years of service.
He was born in Elkins on September 7, 1921, a son of the late Lossie and Clara Stalnaker Lantz.
He was married to Mabel M. Mulligan Lantz on August 26, 1939, who preceded him in death on March 3, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Max T. Lantz and his wife Beverly, Clarksburg, and Brian D. Lantz and his wife Jane, Annapolis, MD; two grandchildren, Katie and Jacob Lantz, Annapolis, MD; and one sister, Marjory Drummond, Bridgeville, FL.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Terry Lee Lantz; and three brothers, Howard, Marvin and Arthur Lantz.
Mr. Lantz was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of the Meuse-Argonne Post No. 573 VFW, where he was past Commander. Mr. Lantz was Protestant by faith.
Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Rt. 98, Clarksburg, Sunday from 2-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, at 10 a.m. Reverend Amy Shanholtzer will officiate. Interment will be in the Chestnut Street IOOF Cemetery.
